My Baby Face: A "Changing-Faces" Book With Mirror Shows Baby Responding to Sounds, Tastes, Smells (Changing Faces Series)
Published in Hardcover by Barrons Juveniles (February, 2000)
Authors: Caryn Jenner and Fran Jordan
Average review score:

Shows a baby that it is fine to express his feelings
This is a book that allows a baby to show his feelings, tastes good, tastes bad; sounds good & sounds bad; smells good and smells bad, My baby enjoyed turning the pages and looking at the expressions of the face of the baby in the book. I think it enables my baby to identify with the baby in the book and shows him that other babies sometimes have the same reactions as him when things taste bad for example. At the last page, there is a mirror where my baby identifies his eyes, ears ,nose, mouth and he never fails to smile and kiss that page when we reach there. Certainly one of his favourite books.

Myths of the world : a thematic encyclopedia
Published in Unknown Binding by K. Cathie ()
Author: Michael Jordan
Average review score:

Terrific cross-selection of world mythology
Mythology is one of my great loves. Although my forte is in Greek and Roman studies, I often delve into the lore of other cultures, as well. So far, the most consistently-bizarre mythos I've discovered is that of the Koryak people of Siberia, a mythos well-represented in Michael Jordan's Myths of the World. As in many cultures, the mythology of the Koryak was carried down through a long oral tradition. Unfortunately, there seem to be many missing bits. What remains of the stories makes certain Ren and Stimpy episodes look meticulously logical in comparison.

There is a broad wealth of material in this book: Native American, Polynesian, Japanese, Meso-American, Nordic, Hindu Kush, Hindu, Hittite, Egyptian, Greco-Roman, Celtic, Chinese, Christian and Gnostic, African, Ancient Near-Eastern, and Siberian mythology. Although the stories are generally brief, the writing does not make for an easy read. The prose is very dry, and the book practically screams for illustrations to lighten the mental load.

Naming Our Destiny: New and Selected Poems
Published in Paperback by Thunder's Mouth Press (October, 1989)
Author: June Jordan
Average review score:

Powerful unflinching poetry
This collection of Jordan's work gives a fair cross section of her gorgeous love poems and prescient political work. This book considers the struggles all over the world for people to live freely without fear. I find that picking up my copy and reading it now, it's still as current and awakening as when i read it as a college student.

Nevermore (European Women Writers Series)
Published in Paperback by Univ of Nebraska Pr (September, 1996)
Authors: Marie Redonnet, Jordan Stump, and Jordon Stump
Average review score:

Absolutely stunning.
Most of the people in my class hated this book, but I found it beautiful and passionate. Reading Nevermore is like stepping into an abstract oil painting. It can be hard to follow, but well worth reading.

The Object Data Standard: ODMG 3.0
Published in Paperback by Morgan Kaufmann (02 January, 2000)
Authors: R. G. G. Cattell, Douglas K. Barry, Rick Catell, Mark Berler, Jeff Eastman, David Jordan, Craig Russell, Olaf Schadow, Torsten Stanienda, and Fernando Velez

A valuable resource
A well-written, concise reference covering a diverse range of topics that will be of interest to all who know the frustration of cramming complex OO systems into relational tables.

From a complete design pattern for Object and Object Relational database systems, to design patterns for declarative language symantics; from C++ and Java to SmallTalk bindings; from BNF grammars to compiler models; the book proved invaluable at overcoming the myriad problems presented to the developer implementing an object-relational DMBS.

As a direct result of this reference work I have implemented ORDBMS systems in Java and (can you believe it) JavaScript. The JavaScript implementation provides a complete persistence layer for JavaScript objects running in an ASP environment.

As a result, systems with complex data relationships that would curl the hair on a relational database programmer's head have been implemented simply and with the minimum development time.

I await with anticipation emergence of the JDO from the work of the ODMG.

Perfect Marriage Material (The Perfect Family)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (April, 1998)
Author: David P. Jordan
Average review score:

Getting complicating but still a great book to read
This book is good. I'm now waiting for story on Casper's, will there be one? I've read Perfect Marriage Material before I read Perfect Seduction (the book before) I found that by not following according to the sequence I'm a bit lost even with the family chart. I would prefer Penny to concerntrate on the romance instead and less on the family ongoing.

Perfect Reflections

Authors: Lady Harford" Susie Jordan and Susie Jordan
Average review score:

An informative & reassuring guide to pre & post op procedure
I saw this book in Woman's Journal in Britain and bought it immediately. I was contemplating surgery but felt nervous about complications. It was an easy read and informative and gave me the confidence to go ahead with a nose job. I'm now contemplating another operation and will use the advice that Susie gives with regards to preparing for the operation and taking care of myself afterwards. The most interesting thing about this book as that the author had photographs taking during HER operation, so that you get a feel for what you are in for.
